Remove Cross Section Hatching in DWG

Hello, and Good Day to you, my Friends.

I have a Housing in DWG View.

A Section View with Cross Hatching.

I know it's not practical, but deadline calls.

Is there a way to remove the Cross Hatching in certain areas without modifying the original View?

Maybe an Geometrical overlay?

Part or assembly? I ask because those areas are fully enclosed, which typically would not occur in a standard part. If this was a multi-body part, a section would show the hatches a different orientations, as happens in an assembly. What is throwing me is that all of your hatches are oriented in the same direction. And I am guessing that you tried an RMB on the hatch and selected "Hide". Did the whole hatch turn off?

You can RC on any hatch and select "Hide" for any cross sectioned component in a drawing.

What you cannot do is remove just part of the hatch within the same component section.

Now, with that said, depending on what you are looking for, you might be able to adjust your section cut line to instead of being a straight line, be a zig-zag cut line controlling what you want to section and what you don't.

Thanks for the input.

I ended up sketching Geometry over the existing, and applying a solid hatch.

You can also adjust the scale of a hatched area, as well as the angle.
