Hi! Reference import is enabled for Catia, Creo, Solidworks, and STEP files. Would you be able to get a STEP file instead of a x_t file?

Many thanks!

Hi,

I cannot import a part saved in .x_t format into an assembly file in "joint" mode. Look bottom - option unavailable (gray). Note, I chose the source as "link" in the context menu of file one. Import files .stp, or other format not a problem. Please, help me.

Regards

Malenki

Thank you for your response.

Yes, of course 😁. I load the .x_t model as solid in the .ipt format, then save it in the filename.stp format. I than import this file as a link to the .asm assembly file. But, Is there a logical sense in such an operation???
From what the writer shows, importing directly from an Parasolid file to .asm in link mode is not possible (yet; when will be?).

Thanks.

Hi! Like I mentioned, the AnyCAD Reference workflow supports a few formats, not all formats. It is definitely technically doable to support x_t. But, it is probably not high on the list based on our user feedback. Please feel free to submit an idea on Inventor Ideas forum (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/idb-p/v1232). Or, vote for an existing idea.

Many thanks!
