If you mean that the sketch is visible in the second picture, then that has nothing to do with level of detail. Level of detail is for suppressing parts not turning off visibility of objects. If you want to keep the visibility of the sketch off in the next level assembly then you should use design views, not level of detail.

Hello everyone,

I have a Frame subassembly and I try to place it in my master assembly but when I do so, the level of detail is not working anymore.

Thanks

Inventor 2018

Can you provide more detail into what you mean when you say it is not working anymore? Not working how and in what assembly?

Hi! LOD was meant to be a memory management tool for 32-bit Windows. It is not a configuration tool, though it does exhibits some configuration-like behaviors. But, it is not a configuration tool.

LOD:Master means all components are unsuppressed (loaded). If a component is suppressed, the LOD state has been changed and it has to be a non-Master LOD.

I think you might be interested in an in-development project called Model States. Please feel free to sign up Inventor Feedback Community (https://autode.sk/InventorBeta). You can try the workflow on an install-free and browser-based environment.

Many thanks!
