Forming sheet metal when raw material length and width is already determined

So I am sure this is probably an easy thing to do but this is my first venture into forming sheet metal when the overall width and length is set my purchased sheet metal blanks. Basically I will be forming multiple bends into a sheet metal blank (bend origins will be based of the centerline of the material and not the edges). The flange lengths are set and the final flange lengths will just be the remainder material. this will eventually be used to produce a template where we can just enter certain perameters and it updates the bend line locations. In my attempts to use bend command I can get it close but not exact (we have tolerances of .001).

best example I can give is forming a channel where the outside to outside dimension of the legs is a set distance and the leg lengths will just be whatever is left over of the material.

Change k-factor or bend allowance until you get the flat you want.

0.001 is very good in forming.

Even material thickness won't be that accurate.

I agree thats really tight tolerance for the forming and it wont always be that tight but for modeling purposes I need that width to be perfect as it will be used repeatedly and there will be more bends added so if its not accurate then over the course of multiple bends the issue will be compounded.

You can also sketch the collar shape using parameterization.
