Missing Cube

I'm teaching myself Inventor from the basics (starting with the Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlN87pw9jV0&t=2s) When I get to the base view in Drawing stage (app. 17 mins 25 s) the cube is shown to allow orientation, but the Cube isn't shown in mine. I've tried changiong the options (Tools>Application Options>Display>ViewCube) by setting to 'All 3D views', but it still doesn't display. I've looked through the Help system, but without luck. can you help please? Many thanks, G

Which Inventor version do you use? (In prior versions was not this view cube).

And when I clicked on your link I just saw the drawing screen with a basic drawing, but no cube.

Images and .doc files are not Inventor file types.

I was expecting *.ipt and *.dwg or *.idw files for diagnosis.

Not on my image.

Go to your drawing file and double click on your drawing view in your Inventor file - what do you observe?

Once you have Attached your Inventor files here - I can make a video using your actual Inventor files.

I tried double-clicking on each of the drawing itself, the drawing page and to the side of the page (blue-grey side panels), but nothing happened.

Here are the first 3 files. I'll post the rest in a sec.

First I'd suggest to update your Inventor to version 2021.2 (build 289).

If that doesn't help reset your Inventor to the default settings (Inventor reset utility).

If both doesn't help, I can't help anymore (no ideas what causes the wrong behavior).

Also a double click at your base view (without creating a new view as shown in the video) let me see the View cube.

I guess your Inventor installation seems to be corrupt.

Hi! Did you double-click on the view to edit it (or right-click on the view -> Edit)? You should see the Edit View dialog and the view cube on the right. Take a screenshot when you edit the view.

Hi, after a couple of attempts, this is what I see when I right-click on VIEW in the Model.

That allows me to manipulate the drawing to the angle I want, so that's brilliant! Thanks you very much.

How do I get the cube to remain present though?

On 2D drawing sheet - the cube is only present when initially creating a Base view or when Editing a base view - otherwise it is not needed in 2D and therefore hidden.

So to see the cube I can just right-click on View in the Model and select
Edit any time I want to use the cube. Is that right?
