      <title>Translator for STEP files</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Currently unable to open any STEP, STP files.&amp;nbsp; Even STEP files that I have opened successfully in the past.&amp;nbsp; I did have a recent reinstall.&amp;nbsp; When I attempt to open STEP files it gives me the attached "Failed to open document." pop up.&amp;nbsp; When I go to "Add-In Manager" both my applications and translators tabs are blank (see attached).&amp;nbsp; I have no STEP translator.&amp;nbsp; I thought this was built into Inventor.&amp;nbsp; Is there a way to access an approved STEP translator?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;RB&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Autodesk Inventor Professional 2021&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;64-Bit Edition&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Build: 183, Release: 2021 - Date: Fri 02/21/2020&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi! It does not look right to me. It seems that the install was incomplete. Please use Repair Install (Control Panel -&amp;gt; Programs and Features -&amp;gt; Programs -&amp;gt; Autodesk Inventor 2021 -&amp;gt; right-click -&amp;gt; Uninstall -&amp;gt; Repair Install).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Is it on Windows 10? Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and also .Net 4.8 is enabled.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you both!&amp;nbsp; I've run the Inventor Reset Utility and downloaded the updates.&amp;nbsp; I'm scheduling a time with our IS department to perform admin tasks (I don't have access) and step through the updates.&amp;nbsp; I'll respond with new post when I have more info.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 10 Enterprise&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Version 1909&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OS build 18363.1256&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you both for all your help on this.&amp;nbsp; Problem was the install did not load everything properly.&amp;nbsp; Performed a clean uninstall using Autodesk Uninstall tool (and &lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Clean-uninstall-of-Inventor-2021.html" target="_self"&gt;link&lt;/A&gt; below), reinstalled, and now working properly.&amp;nbsp; Key difference this time is that our IS team performed the clean uninstall and reinstall while being logged in as Admin.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for all your help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
