Quick return mechanism--- a wheel is driven by a slider

Hi!

In my previous topic

we discussed a quick return mechanism where the slider was moved by the wheel's rotation.

In my next project the task is the opposite.

I need a wheel to be driven by a slider.

I have tried to use the above mentioned mechanism,

I am saying that this mechanism is not unique.

When I say "people need" I mean that lots of people needed and used this mechanism,

so I am not a pioneer.

and of course I hope the the solution will benefit other people

Do you want the Cogwheel to rotate a full 360° DRIVEN by the motion of the slider?

I can't envisage how this would work. The slider needs to change from pulling the pin in the wheel down to pushing the wheel up. I can't see how you would get more that 1/2 a revolution.

It is going to need a helper force - a spring or something that I haven't thought of yet.

Do you want to limit the direction to either CW or CCW?

So a lever to flip the spring force.

Not sure when I would be able to get around to trying a solution.

One thing for sure, with my "solution" (if I find one) you will need an understanding of Dynamic Simulation.

This mechanism is a part of my big project.

I have made tons of animations of small parts of the device and this is one of the last pieces of my lego.

I have been doing this in animation studio.

Is it possible to implement your solution (if you find one) in animation studio?

I have never heard of animation studio.

Do you mean that you are doing animations in Environments >Inventor Studio?

If so, then yes. In Environments >Dynamic Simulation you click Publish to Studio.

Is there way to incorporate and attach the mechanism from dynamic simulation into existing device in Inventor Studio?

This mechanism is 5% of the device
