Hi,

this is my first time trying to make a animation in inventor studio's for my school project. When i try to animated with the constraints when i give the end value for the moving part a different number to make it move further it says 'The specified value could not be applied. Please enter a different value.' and it doesn't matter wich number if fill in it always gives the same error. I hope someone can help, thank you in advanced.

Lars Van Mieghem

No.

I was requesting that you Attach the assembly in a >>Reply here<<.

To save some time:

<STRIKE>What is the name of your top-level assembly?</STRIKE> I assume it is GIP.iam

(I opened Mechanisme 1.iam and there were no Grounded components?)

Are you attempting to Drive Constraint?

Are you attempting to simulate in Environments>Dynamic Simulation?

Or are you attempting to Animate in Environments>Inventor Studio?

Did you model these parts yourself - or did you purchase these part files?

So yeah our top level assembly is GIP.iam. We did not create all the parts we imported most parts from different websites (i hope this isn't a problem). I was trying to do a Environments -> Inventor Studio -> animation Timeline -> animation constraints animation.

Yes it is premitted because it is our end school project and we need to import the frame profiles from the website boshrexroth and the pneumatic cilinder we imported from Festo so our school could by the parts. Some sheets of metal are made by my self so we could make them in school. I also don't know what you mean with the logic of those imports.
