Foreshortened Dimension Arrow Style

When I create a linear foreshortened dimension I don't get any arrowhead on one side. The correct convention should be to have a double arrowhead. Can anyone explain how I achieve this please.

After giving foreshortened dimension you need to go to the end of it where there is no arrowhead, try to snap the green point, right-click and select "edit the second arrowhead", then you can select the type of arrowhead you need, by Default it is none. See the below GIF for reference.

Is there any way to do this in a detail view where the far end of the part is not shown?

Yes Tim, I guess it's a bit of a work around - and someone might be able to tell you of a better/prefered way of doing it - but the way I've done it is to create a workplane on the feature that you need to dimension to, 'Include' it on the detailed view then dimension to it and, if necassary, change the properties of the arrow heads to suit.
