Export to STL reducing size of part by factor of 10

Hi,

I have been using 'Export > CAD Format' to make STL files for 3D printing and never had any issues since 2019. But after the recent update, the exported STL files when opened in 3D printer software, appear to be scaled down by a factor of 10. I have tried opening the STL files in Cura and also in IdeaMaker and results are same. I have tried changing the units from options while exporting the STL but it is not having any effect on the exported file.

Here is the problem demonstrated by a 100mm test cube:

I tried exporting the part to STEP and then converting that to STL from makexyz.com, and the size came out perfect. IPT file is attached.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong. Please help.

Choose milimeter export.

After doing that, I imported into INventor again at it showed 100mm

Hi Yannick.Enrico,

I just tried it out, set units to millimeters while exporting to STL, and imported that back to Inventor and now I have a 10mm cube. What version are you using?

100mm Test Cube exported in STL and then imported back in Inventor

Are you sure you didn't press cancel rather than OK when closing it?

You might also have a look at import options in Inventor.

Anyway, see attached screenshots for both version (which is newer than yours), and import options.

I wouldn't have got a file in the hard drive if I had pressed Cancel instead of OK. Anyways I just updated the Inventor to latest version (Build 289, Release: 2021.2.2) and the problem got solved. Thanks for looking into it.
