As far as I recall this TS always behaved this way - nothing has changed recently around this.

Hi! I believe it depends on your user profile. The prompting is required when an automated task needs to be started without user interaction. The prompt has been there.

The quickest way is to run TS as Admin. Right-click on the TS icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run as Admin."

Many thanks!

Hi @johnsonshiue

I have the same issue (Inventor 2023, Win11).

No password in the windows user account and the workaround "Right-click on the TS icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run as Admin." doesn't work.

Any additional idea?

Hi Matteo,

Though I don't have any proof, the behavior sounds Windows user profile or privacy settings related. TS is a standalone tool, which launches Inventor.exe behind the scene. I guess the process is interrupted by Windows. You may want to set up a local Admin user profile with full privilege and see if it helps. Here is a Microsoft Support article offering some tips. Please take a look.

Many thanks!

Tasks launched "immediately" run under the current user profile and assume your current Windows User login credentials. Tasks run at a specific time or paused & restarted may run when the current user is logged out - so Windows authentication is required. As far as I can remember, it has always been this way.
