extruding cut between to different size rectangles

hi guys

hope you can help, im a newbie and trying to create a new fan shroud for my 3d printer. How do i create a channel between the top and bottom apertures as they are different size and not parallel to each others? probably i started the design in the wrong way as i cannot find a way to do it. thanx

One option is to create a workplane offset from the lower surface of the shroud at a distance such that an extruded cut of the lower slot to the workplane ends central to the part. Then loft from the end of the extrude cut up to the upper slot

I would do the entire part very differently - but one option is Loft. (A lot of wasted material on the right side.)

Thanx ,i cannot open the file ...it says that my version of inventor is one year older and need to update.

Lol , i see you have your own channel ...maybe you can post a short video on how you modified my file , it would help me and many others , im trying to recreate your modification but is not going well🤣

It is really difficult for me to figure out where you are going with this.

Do you have an photo of an existing part you are attempting to modify?

I really appreciate your input, im trying to improve the Fan Duct of my 3d printer the one that seat next to the extruder that cools the pla while printing by recreating what is fitted originally there and try to then add a second duct on the opposite side . will post photo later. thanx
