Hi! Many thanks for sharing the files! Something is wrong indeed. It looks like the constraints were computed using cached geometry originally. Now the component geometry is missing. There seems to be corruption.

The files were created in 2021. Do you have the original copy before migrating to 2022? I would like to take a look at the original files to understand the behavior better.

When I ran Rebuild All - I got an error indication.

When I experimented a bit more I got errors about several missing files.

Hi! Something is wrong indeed. The CLCTR-G01.ipt should be bigger to accommodate the change in frame size. Or, the Insert constraints should fail. Neither happen, which leads to the defective behavior.

I did a quick fix on CLCTR-G01.ipt. I created another model state and lengthened the plate (and the holes span). Now everything seems to work better (see attached file).

I will work with the project team to understand the behavior better.

With all due respect, please refrain from posting enlarged text in red. It looks as if you are yelling at people. I know this issue is very important to you. We are also very eager to resolve the issue as soon as possible. But, we need actionable data and information. Your style of posting isn't helpful. Some may feel offended.

I think there could be multiple issues here. Take MV-A0.iam for example. When I activated the Master Model State, I was prompted for another subassembly. This should not happen. Model State table does not support replace component workflow. I am not sure how the assembly got into this situation in the first place.

Do you still have the 2021 dataset (before migrating to 2022)? If yes, please share the files. We need to understand how the files are referenced in each LOD.

I was able to repair this assembly to the point where it works as expected.

Assembly MV-A0 that has several other assemblies below it has been badly constrained.

In MV-AO11 the inserts were constrained to axis, you can do this with the Joint command and pick the center of a slot. They all had movement still. The axis that were mirrored are corrupt for some reason and cannot be deleted.

The other problem, CLCTR-G01 is constrained and grounded. This is causing some confusion with the assembly.

After I removed the bad constraints, and fixed the inserts to be constrained correctly the Master assembly worked correctly and shows errors for the constraints as they should.

The combination of those bad constraints and flexible assembly has caused the error. YES, it should still tell you something is wrong and that is a problem but these kinds of things can be avoided.

You can avoid it by following some better practices with constraints.

There is no need to have constraints on something that is grounded in most cases. When I went to constrain the inserts to the slotted holes this broke. Removing the constraints and just leaving the ground fixed your whole assembly at every level.

Less constraints is best. Test things by dragging them to see if they are actually constrained. Your mirror of the inserts was not constrained so were able to spin around.

I can attach the new assembly if you would like.
