Hi, I´m trying to run acadlt.exe after a correct installation, but when execute shows error (0x000007b) and crash.

After looking for missing DLLs I found that acadlt.exe calls to ACDB21.DLL, I looked for that in autodesk program files and is here, what else can I do to correct this problem?

I tried to reinstall C++, .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.6, uninstall antivirus.

Any idea?

Windows 10 x64 bits new installation and the error persist.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @sgalvan.gcollado,

Welcome to the community. You mentioned you had a successful install, in that case I would try the following:

Make sure you have an updated graphics card driver by visiting the manufacturer's website

Operating System has the latest updates

Update your product with the latest service pack or Hotfixes by visiting the Autodesk website or account

In Windows Explorer, delete the contents of your Windows Temp folder, but do not delete the Windows Temp folder itself. You can locate the Temp folder by entering %TEMP% in the Search bar of Windows Start

Temporarily disable antivirus & firewall, use End Task feature to end the anti-virus software that could be running in the background

If the above does not resolve the issue continue & try Clean Uninstall of the product and downloaded via Autodesk Virtual Agent and install the product again

Please let us know if this resolved the issue. Thank you.

I hope this answered your question or resolved the issue, if so please click Kudos or the "thumbs-up!" Did my response help resolve the issue? Please "Accept As Solution" to help others in the community.

I get exactly the same error on a Win7x64 machine. Honestly, after 3 days playing around on different PCs and virtual machines, I think I will tell my clients to use a different software. Even when I think I got it running, division by zero errors show up. This is the worst Autodesk software I ever tried to install. No useful debug information - just a useless error dialog.

some comments:

Make sure you have an updated graphics card driver by visiting the manufacturer's website

Useless action - the exe does not even run that far!

Operating System has the latest updates

of course - all other AD software runs perfect.

Update your product with the latest service pack or Hotfixes by visiting the Autodesk website or account

with the latest service pack from AD, the product gets worse..

In Windows Explorer, delete the contents of your Windows Temp folder, but do not delete the Windows Temp folder itself. You can locate the Temp folder by entering %TEMP% in the Search bar of Windows Start

useless information - the exe does not run that far to load something which requires memory or hd space

Temporarily disable antivirus & firewall, use End Task feature to end the anti-virus software that could be running in the background

fresh windows installation - no virus, no firewall

If the above does not resolve the issue continue & try Clean Uninstall of the product and downloaded via Autodesk Virtual Agent and install the product again

five time installation and goto restore point are sufficient?

is for instance acad2016 not running under win7x64 sp1 english edition ?

i tested acad2015 as well - same error.

will it then make sense to test acad2017 under win7x64 sp1 ?

If the problem is a prerequisite, anti-virus, a user rights problem, or some other system/enterprise related issue, then I would suspect all versions would suffer the same problem.

Glad the issue has been resolved. Just to clarify you installed the Trial on a Windows 8.1 system instead and input the your serial number within the product in the "Manage License" tab...
