AutoCAD LT 2012 error code 1603

when I open auto cad this and other error codes come up. as a result I have no tool bars I have to key in every command, and can't change layers

cant find the install disk to uninstall and reinstall

please help!

Are you trying to install the software?
Or did you recently change WIndows versions or something else on your network change? error code 1603 is an installation error more often than not.

It may be but I cant find the installation disk to uninstall and reinstall

Autodesk doesn't offer a download for LT2012.

Hello @Anonymous,

The uninstall and reinstall may work and allow you to launch AutoCAD LT 2012. Not sure if this was a recent install or it has been installed for a while now, but the most common troubleshooting steps are listed below. Try looking at Event Viewer to review the latest events that have occurred on your computer (Windows Start> type in the seach> Event Viewer) to point you in the right direction.

Make sure you have an updated graphics card driver on the manufacturer's website (Assign the correct Graphics Card - Step #8)
Check the Operating System needed & the required updates by reviewing the system requirement for the software
Update your product with the latest service pack or Hotfixes by visiting the Autodesk website or account
Locate the install log or Control Panel for Microsoft Visual C++ have properly installed
Reboot the computer
In Windows Start, delete unnecessary items in the Windows Temp folder, but do not delete the Windows Temp folder itself. You can locate the Temp folder by entering %TEMP% in the Search bar of Windows Start
Temporarily disable antivirus & firewall, use Task Manager to "End Task" feature to end the anti-virus software or other items that could be running in the background
If the above does not resolve the issue continue & try Clean Uninstall of the product and downloaded via Autodesk Virtual Agent and install the product again
