Force non-silent install from a deployment

I have edited a deployment to install NON Silently.

When I go back and edit the deployment the Silent option is unchecked as I want.

But it still installs silently.

There's an associated INI file and has an entry for silent mode. Can you just confirm that its set properly. I don't have any deployment so I can direct you to the correct location.

I need a bit more direction....

I found the INI file that matches the Deployment configuration that I want to disable SILENT mode... so I can watch all the steps.

However, I am not aware of how this should be edited. There are two occurrences of /silent switch in this file.

I have confirmed .. 'Run installations in silent mode'... is unchecked in the deployment, however, it still runs in Silent mode.

Please advise.

For Revit, whether a deployment runs in silent mode or not is based upon the UI_MODE setting in the <deployment_name>.ini file. When this value is set to BASICUI, you'll get a silent installation that does not prompt for an user input. If this value is set to FULLUI, then you see the full Autodesk install UI when installing to local workstations.

you saying EXE_PARAM is the wrong parameter?

I tried tweaking as as you suggest!

UI_MODE=FULLUI

Install still runs in Silent mode.

Please elaborate!

No, the EXE_PARAM variables that you found are specific to the installation of DirectX. I would not recommend changing any of the silent switches that are associated with the sub-components of an Autodesk install. The UI_MODE variable should be the only area that needs to be update to change the mode of the installation.

I work extensively with the Revit installer and have not experienced any problems in this area. Which Autodesk product are you attempting to configure?

This deployment is for AutoCAD MEP and Revit 2017.

I have attached the ini file... renamed as txt.

FYI: I found the issue with getting install to run NON-SILENT.

I added /qn switch immediately after the call to Setup.exe in the shortcut Target.
