For question #1.. Yes that is possible.. If you change the license type (for 2017/2018 product) as your indicated, when you start the application again you will get the 3 options.. Sign in, Serial #/Prod Key and Network.

For question #2.. Prior to release 2017, yes you can change the serial # but the installations is still based on a standalone license and there are registry entries that indicate if the installation is standalone or network based. I know the registry entries for AutoCAD and Inventor but not sure if there's one for Revit 2016 (paging @Darin.Green). The solution would be to uninstall but I know that's not what you are looking for.

Rederect Standalone machine to Multi-User when time comes?

We have two single-month Single-User subscriptions to AEC Collection. To get the users up, I had to uninstall ALL and Install new and create them as NAMED-USER. Their Access Expires Monday June 19th. (see last line below for FYI)

Hopefully, this Thursday, June 15th by days-end, Autodesk should have our move from Maintenance to Subscription, and from Suites to AEC Collection complete. And I should be able to implement a new LIC file on our license server (FlexLM) on Thursday or Friday by days-end just 3 days before their present serial number and access get turned off.

On these two machines... software Installed is AutoCAD MEP 2017, Navisworks Manage 2017, Revit 2017 and Revit 2016

Questions and Observation:

I do not really want to have to uninstall and re-install if I can get by without...
For their 2017 software, couldn't I simply tweak their installation in Help > About > Manage License > Using 'Change license type' Serial Number/License Type and point their 2017 software to a NETWORK License Manager?

For Revit 2016 I had thought there was a Serial Number UPDATE option in a similar location as in the 2017 Software. And simply Redirect it to the License Server and change?

OR... can I uninstall only the Revit 2016... and Re-install Revit 2016 and configure to use the Network License?

Observation: FYI... Instead of June 19, 2017 the expiration on these two licenses say their Expiration is Dec 31, 3333
