    <description>Dear natashal84,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you so much for your interest and your thoughts. I finally got an&lt;BR /&gt;autodesk tech guy to crawl around in my computer. Getting to a human was&lt;BR /&gt;horrible, but he was great.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My 2014 AutoCAD LT was barely compatible with Windows 10, but a Microsoft&lt;BR /&gt;update increased the sophistication of Windows beyond what my 2014 program&lt;BR /&gt;could handle. I was forced to purchase a newer drawing program.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The downside: AutoCAD pricing for the new versions are steep and climbing.&lt;BR /&gt;I had to have my tech guy watching over the installation to handle crap&lt;BR /&gt;that was beyond my ability. I'm not a computer wizard and having my guy&lt;BR /&gt;proved to be necessary for a successful download and install; but it&lt;BR /&gt;shouldn't be that difficult.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The upside: AutoCAD LT 2018 plays well with the 2014 program; victory! It&lt;BR /&gt;imported all my customized settings with one click. That's never happened&lt;BR /&gt;before and saved me a ton of time and frustration. Running smoothly now&lt;BR /&gt;although I'm lighter in the wallet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Again, thanks to Natasha and all who offered their intellect, energy, and&lt;BR /&gt;creativity to my issue.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I downloaded the required service pack, but was not given an option for storing it where it could find it. It's lost and when I attempt to download again, I'm told it's up to date and not necessary. Aaaarg!&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I can't work, I'm dead in the water ? &amp;nbsp; Anyone else run into this ?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your interest, much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Autodesk said my 2014 AutoCAD LT 360 required an update. It stopped working altogether. Autodesk recommended the service pack and I downloaded it. Upon download completion there were no further prompts and I'm dead. If it downloaded, I can't find it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I thought I'd try again. Downloaded a second time and I got a screen shot saying that the program was already up to date and the download was unnecessary. I'm still dead.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Forgive my lack of computer skills, I just want to get back to work, and I'm stuck.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your patience, Dennis&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Locate the help drop down&amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="help drop down.png" style="width: 33px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/368844iBE29EE374D5B5880/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="help drop down.png" alt="help drop down.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &amp;amp; click the "About Autodesk AutoCAD etc." to see if you have the update installed already and the AutoCAD 2014 is reading it. The update will be listed on the towards the&amp;nbsp;top of the About window.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Other steps to try:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Reboot your machine&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Have you tried verifying&amp;nbsp;that you do not have some antivirus or 3rd party software blocking the update or preventing the software from running properly?&amp;nbsp;Check your&amp;nbsp;"Task Manager" to make sure.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If not then please try the steps below &amp;amp; try to apply the update after you try these steps: &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
