topic Point Revit2016 to network after trial [solved] [maybe] in Installation & Licensing Forum

This is how we resolved an issue with Revit 2016 defaulting to trial instead of Network for our one to one devices at the school where I work. It may be helpful for other schools as it saves have to uninstall and re-install or re-image, these take looooooooooooong and nobody got time for that.

go to c:\programdata\autodesk\rvt 2016\

open  LicConfig with notepad

[LicenseConfig]

SerialNumber=XXX-XXXXXXXX

Type=standalone <----change this to network then save and close

Re-open revit2016 and hopefully it should point back to your schools license server, at least it did with ours.
