after attepting to install maya 2017 patch 4 via "pacaur -S maya" i then was met with a validation error, after that i ran the setup file that came with the tgz file that i previously extracted, now after this i get just the "Could not launch RPM Executable" Error, and the files are marked as executable before you ask. what is Maya actually attepting to 'Launch' the RPM with? because all i can tell is that an RPM is an archive, not an executable program, so it must be trying to run it with a 3rd party program...
