&lt;P&gt;Sorry to hear..&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; It may be related to a corrupt netframe installation on your machine.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I would suggest using the &lt;A href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135" target="_blank"&gt;netframe cleanup/repair too&lt;/A&gt;l from Microsoft tool and see if you can install after that.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Error 2711 when installing Maya 2018</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Cancelled my original install of Maya 2018 then tried installing again. Student. I have .net 4.7 installed.       <description>You are installing using install now or the web installer.    This interface always has issues.    Go into your Autodesk Account and change the install now option to browser diwnload.    Should be a lunk under the install button to do this.    Also make sure your browser pop up blocker is disabled</description>

&lt;P&gt;1. The browser download for Maya 2018 is 3.7GB you will need three times the space, check the size of the installation media folder it should be 3.77 GB Autodesk_Maya_2018_EN_JP_ZH_Win_64bit_dlm.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2. Take a&amp;nbsp;look at your&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Use-Windows-Utilities-to-Maintain-Your-PC/" target="_blank"&gt;Event Viewer&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;to see if you have any system errors.&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN style="color: black;"&gt;You can try to use&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Using-log-to-troubleshoot-installation-errors.html" target="_blank"&gt;AIDA tool&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: black;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;it will pull logs for you helping to indicate the cause of the issue. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Can you take a look at the details of the error in Event Viewer, check the time of the event etc.?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Also, try to run the AIDA tool it will pull these logs for you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Did all this, still got the same error, and failed to connect to server warning in the event viewer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
