    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having a Vault Basic Server 2018 installation error appear when I try to install the software on our server and I have not been able to get it installed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The error states: "Failed connecting to SQL Server" 'server=localhost\AUTODESKVAULT;userid=sa;password=*****"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Autodesk SQL instance was configured per the information listed in the Autodesk Knowledge database.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The installation files were copied from the flash drive.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am able to login to the instance on the server&amp;nbsp; with no issue and this is a single server single location application.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also this is a brand new server that has never had the software installed on it before, any suggestions to resolve this issue?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; Copy the "&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;SQLConnectCheck.exe&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;" file from the&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;I&gt;&amp;lt;Install_location&amp;gt;:\en-us\edmPrechecks&lt;/I&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;folder into the&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;I&gt;%temp%&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;folder.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unforunately the command line looked exactly like the picture&amp;nbsp; on the link you sent. I even copied the SQLconnectcheck.exe to the %temp% folder.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can login&amp;nbsp; to SQL through the SQL management Studio using the same password so I am not sure what is going on.       <description>&lt;P&gt;To save a lot of hassle, is it not worth uninstalling SQL, reinstall the instance and use the default sa password AutodeskVault@26200... and then just change the sa password through management studio after the install has succeeded?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Neil I did uninstall the instance and reinstall as default password information. I ran the vault pre-check and it came back all passed this time including the SQL connect but when I went to install it same error occurred.&amp;nbsp; One weird thing happened when I went to login the SQL management studio I got an error I had never seen before but I clicked ok and tried logging again and it went fine so I am not sure what is going on. &lt;P&gt;This error only happens&amp;nbsp;once then I would not worry about it as it happens when&amp;nbsp;a connection is closed during the SQL login verification process.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Error:&lt;EM&gt;(A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 233)&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you are still having the same issue please send me a private&amp;nbsp;message so we can do a screen share and look at this further.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Send a message&amp;nbsp;by hovering over my name jason.courtemanche and then select "Send a Message"&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
