Not a particularly auspicious start...

Download

Move to 'Software Download' location (NOT my downloads folder)

Install

Gets to 6%, rolls back, Error 1

Download again

Keep in default location

Install

Gets to 6%, rolls back, Error 1

Search for a solution

"Change the default locations of the TEMP folders

Search for "Edit the system environment variables" in the Windows search bar.
In the System Properties window, select the button for "Environment Variables...".
In the User variables section for the current profile verify the default locations for the Variables "Temp" and "TMP" are set to the default location (and select the "Edit" button to change the "Variable value" if the variables are not set for the default location): C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp"

Why Oh Why would it matter where the TMP folders are, just use MY Temp folders!!!

Did you participate in the Beta program? If so, uninstall your beta versions as instructed.

No Beta install this year

Changing back to 'Default' TMP & TEMP folders allowed the install to continue

I just feel that this is another example of the Installers continuous and unneeded 'dumb down'
