topic 2017 Suite licenses in Installation & Licensing Forum

Hello,

I have product design suite and entertainment creation suite 2017 installed on both a laptop and workstation machines. I am about to format my computer and rebuild the OS's and I am wondering what to do with my licenses.

Should the portable license utility be used to export the license and then when I rebuild I can login again and pick them up, is this a good route?

I have noticed when installing Autodesk software in the past, once I activate one of the suite software all other software will then be licensed, is the same true for exporting licences?

Can I just format my partition and rebuild, will Autodesk give me a new license? Got to ask as it is the most hassle free.

Thanks for your help.

The license transfer utility can be used if your have a perpetual standalone license. However the LTU can be flaky and I don't recommend that you use it. Just install and activate your software after you redo your machine. If you run into a max activation limit you can always contact the Autodesk activation team
