Autodesk Access Core

I don't want my users getting notifications about new releases, patches, etc. Why would that be useful to an admin? They aren't able to install anyway, so it just makes admin job a chore.

I want to turn off ALL access to users other than identity and licensing requirements.

As an IT Admin myself, I agree. I believe you can go into Task Manager > Startup and disable the automatic startup for the AdskAccessCore.exe process. That should prevent it from starting up and causing you headaches.

The file itself lives in the following location if you want to tank it altogether:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1\Setup

Restart and it is back.
Anyway, I will have to use the registry hack to indicate that installs are admin controlled but this is nuts.

When I disable a file and it comes back, it is affectionately known as a virus. 🤣
