      <title>The License manager is not functioning or is improperly installed</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The message box error, that I used for the title, is a regular occurrence for me. I'm in a building that doesn't have a fast enough network connection to reinstall Autocad, and since this seems to be the only fix for this, my computer has to be carried to another building to do so.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a single seat subscription on a Windows 7 Professional computer that's connected to a company network.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;folder there's only 1 folder called&amp;nbsp;"057J1_2018.0.0.F" that contains 1 data file called "LGS" that contains the text "_USER".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there another more dependable way to license my subscription so this isn't a regular problem for me?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It appears you have Acad LT 2018, is that correct?&amp;nbsp; Were you issued a serial #?&amp;nbsp; Right now the system thinks you are in trial mode or have a CLIC (cloud based license - no serial #/sign in only).&amp;nbsp; Please clarify if you have serial # or not?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

(like I said, taking my computer to another bldg with higher speed internet to do so)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After a week or 2, my company's purchaser then paid for the subscription, again with my dept manager's approval.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My IT dept said that to their surprise rather than activate the existing trial version with a serial #, a full version had to be installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What needs to be done?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Most likely the individual that paid for your subscription is the contract manager so they would have to log into their Autodesk Account, create a user account for you, then un-assign the use of the product from their account ID and assign the use of the product to your account.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; There's no need to uninstall ore re-install software.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the end do you know who this person is and would they be able to do this for you?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Mark,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The account is in my name and I have an ID and a password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The license type is "&lt;SPAN class="summary-item-value"&gt;Autodesk ID"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class="summary-item-value"&gt;It says for version 2018, No serial number needed - just sign in&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class="summary-item-value"&gt;(It gets confusing because at times while troubleshooting this problem I have signed in, but normally, when it seems like all is well, I'm not asked to sign in.)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV class="container-fluid page"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV class="container-fluid page"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Mark,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't recall exactly what it was when I was given a security code, but I do remember at that same time I opted for Autodesk to text me a code to enter to confirm that it's me, I guess.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You have to realize that I have been struggling with this licensing problem from day one. I have not had the use of the application more than I've had it. My IT dept is waiting to see if I get anything helpful from this forum so they don't have to continuously keep reinstalling the program.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've done the license reset procedure in the past and I just did it again now, but it doesn't do me any good because I don't have a serial # or a network license and there is no sign in option.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Mark,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;By following the instructions for solution option #1 of the 2nd page you suggested I review:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And putting a folder named "&lt;SPAN&gt;057J1_2018.0.0.F" in the following path -&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\ and putting in it a text file named "LGS.data" containing the text "_USER", I can get the program to prompt me for my email address and then my password, but after that an Autodesk Autocad LT message box appears saying, "Connect to the internet", "You must go online to continue, Please connect now.", with a button called, "Try Again".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is nothing new. I've seen this many times before, but the computer &lt;STRONG&gt;IS&lt;/STRONG&gt; online and there isn't any recourse for me from there.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Natasha,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe I'm not using the forum properly or are you done with me?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm still unable to get past&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;an Autodesk Autocad LT message box that appears saying, "Connect to the internet", "You must go online to continue, Please connect now.", with a button called, "Try Again".&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;My IT dept ran out of ideas and unless you know of a way to solve this I guess I'll have to get a refund for the subscription and do something different.       <description>&lt;P&gt;My IT dept is thinking that the only fix would be to go with a multi user license to get around the single seat subscription's 30 day license authentication cycle. Does that make any sense to you? &lt;P&gt;The LT products are not offered in the multi-user license type unless you are ordering a large qty or you are an Autodesk Enterprise Customer (meaning a large customer with many Autodesk products).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
