It's not going to allow you to transfer the license. You'll just need to activate on the new machine. If that doesn't work, use Autodesk AVA once there, click "Get Activation Code"

Export Request Failed (!?!?!?)

I'm posting this here in the hopes that some forum admin can get this expedited, given that it's a Friday. My initial response is absolute disbelief. Case 14176090.

I need to export my license from my workstation to my laptop for a site visit. In so doing, the licensing utility is telling me:

"Export Request Failed

The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached. You may not export more licenses than you have purchased.

Click the "Try Again" link to resubmit the request."

In what universe is there a maximum number of exports??? If I want to export/import between two machines a hundred times a day, why in god's name would that not be allowed!??!? Worse, the stupid ticket system kicks out my request because it somehow doesn't recognize my serial numbers? WHAT? (facepalm)

I'm so upset, I can barely articulate it.

Kris.

Thanks. But in my mind, why bother having an export at all? Just another level bureaucratic BS to piss off actual customers....

@kris,

I do understand your frustration here as I've run into the same issue for 80+ machines a few years ago. When I was told I can just activate again, it was a relief knowing I didn't have to fix each machine and send an excel spreadsheet with all of the request codes then activated all of them within a few hours.

Another thing to consider is that the old activation process was outdated and limited to FlexNET. That's a big reason why they developed their own licensing model (Single-User) because they have the ability to change the code as needed to meet demand. It also keep customers in a compliant state so less letters which is satisfying to many.

Have a good weekend @kris!
