revit student version

hii,

i download the student version of revit 2019, bt it is showing trial version for 30 days only.

what i have to do for student version?

You have to sign up with the Education Community.. https://www.autodesk.com/education/home

Once you sign up with your school info it will take you to a page to select the software you want. When the software is selected and you download you will be provided with a Education serial number and product key. Copy the serial number and product key....cancel the download....then open your Revit and use the serial number you just received.

Welcome to the community.

Take a look at the Steps for Setting-Up Student Software to make sure you registered & set it up properly.

Then, you can change the license type within the application to activate the student license.

I am also trying to install the student version of revit but keep getting the message:

'The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)'

I am using the serial number and product key that I have been sent by autodesk.

why is it not working?

Are you 100% sure the serial # matches the Revit version you requested and downloaded/installed? Most time this message appears because user request a given version but installed a different version.

Go into your Autodesk Account and confirm.

as far as I am aware I have requested the 2019 version and am running the 2019 version on my machine.

OK.. Did you copy/paste the serial # or type it in? IF copy/paste don't do that.. Type it manually.

neither copy & paste or typing it manually seems to work. I have contacted auto desk but they just sent me an email with the same serial number and product key, which doesn't work.

Very frustrating!

Who did you contact at Autodesk? Normal support or Educational support?

By the way what product key was given to you?

education support i believe (case number 14614579),

the product key I was given was 829k1

At this point there's nothing we the users can do about this.. Autodesk has to resolve it and it sounds like something is not sync. Have you confirmed in your Autodesk Account that you have Revit 2019 in there and the serial # matches?
