I have downloaded and install Auto Cad 2017, my computer meets the system requirements and when I try to open the application, i get error 0xc000012f.

How do I remidy this situation?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Is this related to a fatal error on startup?

If so it could mean the following

1. Graphics driver is out of date or an unsupported graphics card

2. Your personal temp (%temp%) folder needs to be cleaned out.

3. Issues with Microsoft C++ on your machine - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Installation-error-referencing-SecondRun-and-FirstRunThreadId.html

4. Issues with Netframe on your machine - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-remove-and-reinstall-the-Microsoft-NET-Framework.html

Try each one before moving on to the next one.

When I was trying to install Photoshop, I got this error status 0xc000012f." I have tried re-installing but to no avail. Only following these steps worked fine for me - https://www.devicetricks.com/0xc000012f-error-in-windows/ . Maybe someone will find it useful too.

Firstly ensure all device and windows updates are installed,

Then try to run as admin,
