Installation requires space on C, even when installing to D?

Hi all,

Trying to install Civil 3D 2019 on my Windows 7 machine. I have little space left on my C drive (just a few GB), but plenty on the D drive. Hence, I'm directing the installer to install on D. However, it's still complaining that it doesn't have enough space on C. I've gone through the exercise of pointing everything I can in the advanced installer options to point to D, but still no joy. Will Civil 3D require a whole bunch of space on C regardless of where I install? Or, is there a bug in the installer?

Depending on the type and source of the install. The installation files may be decompressing to C:. Also there is a lot installed under the Program Data folder.

You can download it ... or move the C:\Autodesk folder to your D drive.... I have mine on the cloud.
Then I would clean out your %temp% folder

It'll need to install on your C: drive ...where the OS is installed. Nothing you can do to get around that.

Move whatever else you can from the PC to your 😧 drive.
