Do you still have the old version on your machine? if so dwg files are probably still associated with that version, read this, one of the methods will work to change which version opens files, unfortunately there is no indication of which version is which in Windows so you might need to go through the process a couple of times to pick the right one from the list.

Thank You DarrenP for considering and responmding to my post. Until yesterday, the AutoCAD I was running was AutoCAD 2013 LT. A few months ago I updated to Windows 10. Ever since, My AutoCAD 2013 LT has struggled and it's been terribly frustrating. I finally decided to update to a W10 friendly version and chose to subscribe to AutoCAD LT, and yesterday I did. I recognize no change. I can find nothing new in my system that may lead me to the AutoCAD LT I supposedly subscribed. If I didn't suscribe to AutoCAD LT as the confirmation I received said I did, what did I subscribe to? If I did subscribe to AutoCAD LT, how do I access it? All comments, Ideas, suggestions any wish to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

Thank You steven-g. You have been very helpful. You have pointed out my single biggest problem - Communication. Obviously I'm no good at it. Let me address it another way. I wish to make a new drawing in my AutoCAD 2013 LT. I click Start > Autodesk > AutoCAD LT 2013 and AutoCAD LT 2013 opens and I start my drawing. Now I would like to make a drawing in the new AutoCAD LT I just subscribed to, where do I click first? I can find nothing to click on to access the new AutoCAD LT I just subscribed to. Once I find out how to access the new AutoCAD LT I just subscribed, I will have no problem reassociating my drawings, but I have to find the new AutoCAD LT before I can do anything else. Thanks, K.

Did you not let the program put a shortcut on your desktop when it installed, Actually let's go back a step, have you installed the program yet? or have you just gone through the subscription process and that's it, if so the question would be, did you go through the Autodesk website or via an Autodesk reseller, and have you had a confirmation email thanking you for your purchase?

Thanks All. Had you not mentioned the email confirm I may have never seen that big ol blue bar. I had already checked everything, including the email confirm, multiple times, but apparently this time I was primed for it. I'm up and running now and probably wouldn't be without your help. Maybe in another 20 years or so I'll finally be tech savvy enough to get buy. Thanks, K.

Glad you got it working, yes the email confirmation should have given you details on where and how to download, occasionally emails get directed to your junk email folder as well, which is why I mentioned it. Good luck with the new version, I hope you enjoy it.
