What is the difference between "Direct Market Reseller" and "Platinum or Gold Tier partner reseller" in terms of getting the best costs for subscriptions and support?

Platinum or gold level resellers are based on how Autodesk ranks based on the requirements that Autodesk has per these levels. It doesnt always mean the higher levels have better support. In addition not all resellers offer the same type of support or at the same rate. Resellers sell product and services

The marketplace is a place for just services. Resellers may be there or there could be individuals or other companies that can provide services to you at a cost.

You have to find one that offers you want you need.

also doesn't mean one offers a higher price than the rest

you will have to negotiate on pricing & some may offer bundles with their services or some just offer you the software not offer anything else

you will need call multiple resellers to compare what they offer
