Not sure how far back but pretty sure will be fine. Have no issues with Civil 3D 2022, 2023, 2024 on the same machine other than have to open the one you want to use first if double click opening files from explorer.
It will always use the running one, if none open usually the last version you ran but not always!

I was on the old maintenance program for Civil 3D for several years when I was doing independent contract work. I eventually got tired of the ever-increasing yearly price jumps, and got a traditional job, so I stopped renewing. I also wanted to keep what I had because I had a lot of money invested over the years. Converting to subscription was/is not an option for me. I am "stuck" at v2019, and I'm fine with that.

Fast forward to today and I am getting a long-term contracting gig. The new client will be paying for a current version of Civil 3D on their dime. I will need to install it on my computer, and so on. So here's my question...

Will I have issues having MY v2019 and their current version on the same computer at the same time?

Thanks
