Couple quick question about the commercial license

I Have produced a significant amount of work on a student license. Whilst this was done for practice at the time myself and a a friend have come to the conclusion that we could produce a commercially viable using these assets.

Obviously you cannot use the files for this purpose if they were made on a student license. I like Maya, but as a small developer even the LT Indie license is incredibly expensive, so my two questions are.

1. Presumably the date of production is included in the file somewhere so is there any way I could possibly pay retroactively for the months during which the assets were produced?

2. Given the cost of Maya, could I use any of the assets produced for promotional material on a patreon or other such crowd-funding site in order to raise the money that would actually allow me to purchase the necessary licenses without bankrupting myself? (I imagine this'll be a no).

1. autodesk only offers a 1 month, 1 year or a 3 year license its all paid upfront

2 . no not with the student license this is what you agreed to with the student license: Educational Purposes

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Adding to @DarrenP posting.. Any file or information created with a student version can't be shared and technically you can't be sharing it even with your friends 😃 But if you want to use or share that info you have to purchase a commercial license and recreate those assets from scratch using your commercially paid license.

Looks like I'll be learning Blender then...

Out of interest does that also mean I can't use any of this stuff on my personal portfolio? I mean that's not directly a commercial venture but it's only aim is to land me a job right so it's kinda indirectly a 'for-profit' use.
