Windows update version 1903 & ACA fatal error

Friday late my Windows installed an update to version 1903 and now AutoCAD Architecture 2020 will not load. I installed the latest updates for ACA just to see if it helped, but I still get a fatal error upon launch. Is anyone else experiencing problems? It looks like several Visual C++ updates where installed and from previous posts I'm wondering one of these is the culprit? Trying to decide how much of the update to roll back.

Although its not likely to be related to the fatal error but have you applied the latest licensing mechanism for 2020?

1. You need to >>clean out<< your personal temp (%temp) folder with in Windows. You will not be able to delete everything but try to delete as many files and folders as possible.

2. Run a repair on your Autodesk product. Go to Windows Control Panel/Program and Features/Add & Remove Programs, locate your Autodesk product and right mouse select to uninstall/change. Select repair when the menu comes up.

3. You have an outdated graphics card driver or a card that's not supported. Don't rely on Windows telling you its up-to-date. Go directly to Windows Device Manager and locate your graphics card under dispay adapter. Right mouse click on the card and select proprieties. Go to the "Driver" tab and look at the driver date.

If you launch using a different profile name, does it launch OK?

Civil 3D 2019 and 2020 have a similar bug that causes it to crash at startup. There is a patch for 2019, but not 2020. Starting up using a new profile name (so that a new profile is created) is one workaround.

I have finally gotten it back up and running (after losing 1/2 a day). I uninstalled the latest windows update and the problem persisted. I finally stumbled across these two troubleshooting posts:

The /nohardware switch verified it was a graphics card issue. I updated the drivers and after a few more restarts and attempts to open ACA, it finally has started working again. I don't seem to have a certified graphics card, but it's never given me problems before in ACA, Revit, or Navis until this Windows update installed.
