Has anyone noticed that Autodesk will disable or physically alter you're drawings if you have not signed in after awhile. For example: I've had several occasions where my 1) drawings run slower and 2) certain xrefs will not load- I have an xref jpeg location does not not change and will disappear and not reload until..... I CLOSE ALL PROGRAMS AND MAGICALLY I'M ASKED TO SIGN IN TO MY ACCOUNT AND VOILA, MY XREFS AND FEATURES COME BACK.

Does anyone else think this is shady as hell? I thought I was paranoid, but it ALWAYS asks me to sign in after these issues mysteriously appear.

Philip

STORED LOCALLY (NOT A NETWORK)

AUTOCAD 2019 LT

AUTODESK WILL RANDOMLY LOCK YOU OUT OF PROGRAM UNTIL YOU ENTER A SECURITY CODE

I'll be working for days or weeks in Autocad and one day it will be slow, not load xrefs, etc. I know the fix is to restart Autocad which always requires me to log in with a security code. I know that restarting Autocad is the the fix but it is always timed with a log in request. I restart autocad every morning, when the problems occur it seems to always be connected with having to enter security code to log in. Just seemed to be too much of a correlation to be random. Just curious if any one else had this issue. Thanks .

Definitely not normal behavior. Is your Autodesk license also local to your PC, or do you pick it up from your network? If network, try using the "borrow license" method (not certain if it is still called that or not, I haven't used a network license for a long time) and then disconnect from your network. If the issue goes away, then hand the problem to your network/IT crew, because something is mis-configured there or otherwise failing.

2019 is not new: is this a sudden new problem, new PC, new office location, or have you been suffering in silence for 18 months?

What security code is that please? There is no such thing AFAIK: are you sure that's not something else you are running by chance?

Are you on a month to month rental?

AutoCAD/LT does require a call home to check licensing once a month, but that's always in the background and does not require active user participation.

Do you need to install the Autodesk Licensing Service - 9.2.2.2501 - Update found in our Autodesk Account Updates page?

Let us know more.

You've said my butt a couple of times in these forums, just wonder why you are so snarky in your comments. It started happening when we updated to 2019 LT , yearly subscription. Which is new BTW- not everyone wants bleeding edge and we like to wait until the bugs are worked out, it is Autocad after all (that's me being snarky).

I was just putting it out there to see if anyone else was experiencing this issue.

Same Dell Precision for last 3 years. I haven't looked for update-I'll see if that makes a difference-thank you.
