Couldn't install Inventor on Windows 10 64bit

Hello everyone,

I was trying to install AutoCAD Inventor education version on my laptop (running on 64 bit Windows). I downloaded the 64bit installer (the file name also states 64bit :Inventor_Pro_2020_r1_English_Win_64bit_wi_en-us_Setup.exe).

But the installer always says "You are attempting to use a 32-bit installer on a 64-bit operating system". I tried different versions, but didn't help.

How can I solve this problem?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Are you installing AutoCAD or Inventor or both? AutoCAD and Inventor are 2 separate programs.

What version of Win 10 do you have? Usually when this type of message appears you are not up to date in Windows 10 version or dont have all the crucial updates.

Hi Mark,

I'm using Windows 10 1909 64 bit and it's up to date. I try to install Inventor alone.

I just found Inventor 2018 works for me.

What version do you need? Are you using Install Now option? If so go to manage.autodesk.com and change the method to browser download and download the 3 parts.
