Deactivate Maya 2016

I'll soon be reformatting my hard disk and installing a new OS; I've previously installed and activated Maya 2016 on the current OS windows 7, but will be migrating to Windows 10. My problem is I can't find a way to deactivate the Maya license.

There is a program called LMTools, however my understanding is this is for sharing a license on a network. I have a stand alone license rather than a network license, plus I don't understand how to deactivate the license using this program - the only videos I've found are for activating a license for network sharing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_Qqgau2ipk&list=PLQEJpWrShvkc7Me2pM8QOG_lQ6I9dgsJD

Will I be ok just uninstalling Maya 2016, without deactivating it? Or will this prevent it from working on the new OS?

What do you show in your Account manager ...

It'll Perpetual / Maintenance or Stand Alone

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Just install and activate on the new OS. If you end up reaching the max activation limit you can just reach out to Autodesk and they will manually activate it.

In Products & Services it lists:

Maya - 1 seat - perpetual - single user

Then just start it and try activating it.

If it says no...do it manually via AVA or Register Once
