Home use license removed from laptop?

At work we have 6 network licenses for inventor, for every network license we also have a home use license. I got that 6th and last home use license and used it on my laptop.

Now i had some issues with my laptop and did a system recovery, not thinking about the fact that my inventor would be removed, but of course, it did.

Now i'm not sure if i can just enter the same serial number again and everything will be ok again.

My question is, if i use the same serial number again, will this be counted as the 6th license again, or will this be counted as the 7th, and we would have a problem?

If it's the last case, what can i do to get my home use license back?

It all depends if the original license information is still on your machine. If it is, it will just use that original information. If not it will create another activation or the 7th one. Which is fine.. Every serial # has a magical activation limit. In the end just install and activate like you did before.

So what you're saying is that there's no risk in just entering the same serial number again?

I want to make sure we don't get any legal issues.

I'm not sure if the solution given works, we didn't try it because the shift from network licenses to user based licenses is very soon. We didn't feel like it would be worth it to take the risk.
