Maya 2020 - Install Error 1603

Hello Friends,

I'm at about my wits end trying to figure this out. I'm getting the error and after reading through every other post I couldn't find a solution. Attached is my install log, I think. I wasn't 100% sure how to access what the helpers have been asking.

I've managed to get the Autodesk Desktop App installed, but every time we do Maya 2020 Arnold - It gets to 56% and crashes. I've really tried to do everything from MS Fix-It; to rebooting to looking at the registry and I just can't figure it out.

Hello @Anonymous,

Error 1603 is a generic error generated by the Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) when a problem occurred during the installation of your Autodesk product. Please conduct the steps listed below:

Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background
Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your LAN & proxy settings etc.
Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)

I managed to get things installed. Now when I go to activate when I click Select at entering a Serial Number and it crashes.

It's all fixed. I had to reinstall windows. uhg.
