topic Qualified e-Schools for Educational Software in Installation & Licensing Forum

I need a low-entry-point certificate in Revit Structural + Robot + Advance Steel through Udemy. They require software installed to complete assignments. Before I enroll, is Udemy considered an AutoDesk partner for student training and download of 'free' versions of the software listed. I got nothing out of AVA, what a colossal waste of time that was. If Udemy is not supported, what e-training is? This is all out of pocket, so I'm not enrolling in some university or CC.

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

Udemy wouldn't be considered eligible for education as it isn't accredited by a government, in most cases online providers aren't covered by Autodesk Education. From the education eligibility: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/education-program/who-can-join/eligibility-edu-institutions

Autodesk provides educational licenses for free* access to Autodesk software to Qualified Educational Institutions that are located in certain regions. A “qualified educational institution” is an educational institution that has been accredited by an authorized governmental agency within its applicable local, state, provincial, federal, or national government and has the primary purpose of teaching its enrolled students. The software can be used for learning, teaching, training, research, and development that are part of the instructional functions performed by the educational institution.

Since you are looking for what I assume as professional training you will unlikely be covered as training centers are specifically excluded. I don't know any online providers that are covered - it's typically your brick and mortar institutions. Perhaps someone might be able to reply below

I would check out nearby resellers: https://www.autodesk.com/partners/locate-a-reseller

Due to Covid, many are offering training online. The cost of training covers usage of a not-for-resale license for the duration of the course.

Good luck.
