Installation Error for Inventor 2025

Just downloaded and am trying to install Inventor 2025. It keeps failing and this is the error in the log file.

What is it trying to uninstall and why?

What I ended up finding was that the "Autodesk Hive" process was running in the background and was creating a problem with the 2025 installer of the same name. I had to kill the running "Hive" process so the new one could then install and not cause a failure in the entire installation.

We found the same thing on a co-workers PC so it wasn't a one-off.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

I had the same thing with AutoCAD Electrical as well.

I ran install into the same issue. To fix the issue, Uninstall Autodesk Interoperability Engine Manager (all versions if necessary). Run the Autodesk Installation again, or install the Interoperability Engine from [InstallMedia]/x64/HIVE/adsk-hive-host

That should resolve the issue.

Weird thing is what is causing it to fail

This doesn’t seem to happen with a specific product

I installed multiple 2025 products only 2 of them failed with this same error while the others installed fine

Looks like the links above to the full installer are working but the install from manage.autodesk.com is returning into a 1603 error.

Odd I just used it .. without an issue.

I'd look at deleting you can in your C:\Autodesk for this installer.

Delete the ones in your C:\download

Delete everything you can in your %temp% folder.

Re-download BOTH parts.

Make sure you have Admin rights. Anti-Virus off.
