      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm finding eagle locks up on loading, says its "offline".&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Tried the suggestion of renaming or replacing libeay32.dll, but that didn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What does work is deleting the eagle folder in&amp;nbsp;C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming, which you can get to easily by typing&amp;nbsp; %appdata% in the path of file explorer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This seems to force eagle to ask for login credentials.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But you have to do this nonsense EVERY TIME you want to start eagle.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Come on Autodesk, get your s**t together and fix this. I have free, open source CAD that works better, which I'd be using if my customer wasn't embedded with eagle.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A little update: Deleting the settings folder under&amp;nbsp;C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Eagle is sufficient to allow eagle to start properly.&amp;nbsp; Theres a clue for the devs.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Did you have EAGLE installed previously on the machine? If that worked it implies something was screwed up in the setting files which isn't typical.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you have any additional info that will be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I did have eagle installed and working previously.&amp;nbsp; But then my motherboard died, so I upgraded to a Ryzen 5800x&amp;nbsp; ( from an old i5). This also necessitated an inplace upgrade/repair of Win10 to get it reactivated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At this point I noticed eagle not working.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After trying previously posted fixes, and a simple reinstall of Eagle, I completely uninstalled Eagle and Fusion360 and anything else Autodesk related, including stripping out the folders in appdata/roaming - which usually contain localised information.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That got it going, but I'm still finding I have to remove the&amp;nbsp;appdata/roaming/eagle/settings folder every time I want to start eagle.&amp;nbsp; So Eagle is continuing to recreate this folder with bad data every time it starts.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Note also: its not enough to just delete the file, the Settings directory has to be removed too.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So something about forcing the regeneration of this directory and file prevents the lockup.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I originally followed that article exactly as described : installed OpenSSL, then when that didn't work I tried the manual process.&amp;nbsp; That didn't work either.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just rechecked that OpenSSL was installed, then went into the Eagle directory and renamed libea32.dll and ssleay32.dll. (This is probably the critical instruction missing from the article).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Eagle now opens properly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a test, I then restored the two&amp;nbsp; original dll's in the Eagle directory.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Eagle still opens properly.&amp;nbsp; WTF?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looks like some setting somewhere is getting corrupted, changing dlls fixed it (this time anyway) in a way that the original dlls begin working again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We'll see if this holds after a reboot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
