Student download asking for license number when opening AutoCAD

Having issues if anyone can help? Contacted auto desk directly and they can’t seem to sort the issue....I have a verified student account which allows me free access to the software. I have a top of the range laptop to run it but every time I try to open CAD it asks me to put in a licence number even though it’s a student account? Has anyone come across this before? I can open and use revit no problem!

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue with your student version of AutoCAD. You may have to change your license type within your Manage License option within the software, please try the solution in this AKN Article.

Autodesk Community hey! Unfortunately this didn’t work! Even tried to re download but it keeps coming up free trial and won’t let me change anything! Is there anything else I can try? It’s definitely an active student account. I have full access the revit, just not CAD....

You should be able to Sign-In to activate, on the let's get started screen select Sign In, you can then log in with your Autodesk ID. If you don't see Sign in follow this article: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/No-Let-s-Get-Started-Window-or-System-Error-Repair.html

If that fails make sure your license appears at https://manage.autodesk.com/ under products and services.
