Perpetual License?

I came across this site online. Looks sketchy but they claim to be selling perpetual licenses for Autodesk products. I looked them up on Trustpilot Reviews and they seem legit. I just can't figure out how they can be selling perpetual licenses.

Autodesk doesn't sell perputual licenses anymore

Autodesk doesn't sell perpetual licenses anymore: and Autodesk would be the ones licensing your software during activation. So... what do you think?

I immediately thought it was a scam as well. Just wondering if anybody else has had any experience with finding/buying perpetual licenses post-2018. As a one man shop, the subscription thing just doesn't work for me.

again Autodesk stopped selling perpetual licenses

if you can't afford Autodesk then you will need to look at cheaper competitors

It's the cost of doing business. If that cost doesn't fit your plan, there are plenty of less expensive, DWG compatible products out there that may.

I am so glad you checked over here before you whipped out your credit card over there, that's for sure.

As noted by others, there are cheaper perpetual (for now) cad software offerings out there from other software vendors, give Google Search a whirl, then try before you buy to ensure you will not be crippled by anything.

Thanks for the responses. I'm still working off a 2004 version of Autocad LT. It works for me and I will keep using it rather than switch to another program as my CAD work is pretty basic. Obviously I would rather get a newer version of Autocad LT but as I mentioned I don't want to shell out for the subscription.

@Anonymous - what PC are you using this on? Just curious because at some point in the future your AutoCAD LT 2004 will need to be reinstalled because of hardware or O/S upgrade, and then you will most likely need a new activation code which you won't get.

This has happened to others that wanted to keep using their old perpetual license.

I found a similar sight selling 3-year subscription to 2023 inventor at a fraction of the cost. After chatting with them online they claim the product support and updates are managed by the Autodesk Update App. So, is this reseller legit?

No, of course not, hence the internet search. I came across a Civil Engineer who is running ACAD 2017 with his preputial license that he bought way back when. It just got me thinking. I don't have a choice but to use ACAD as my 3rd=party software runs off it. yourcadstore seems too good to be true and I'll probably just have to accept the subscription fees.

I have had the best experience with Rhinoceros 3D. It is Autocad compatible. I was even able to upgrade a 20-year-old license at a low update price. A demo version is available for 90 days. I think it's very fair in price and a great product. No subscription, no hidden costs. I use it too.
