Well, it's that time again... and maybe not for much longer. It's time to update your Autodesk Network License Manager files to the latest and greatest (Autodesk) version -- which unlike previous years, has seen its first major update. See below:

Autodesk is providing a newer 11.18.0.0 (x64 only) for 2022 products for those of you who are still on network licensing and have not yet moved to Named User licensing. In addition, the NLM should still be available for Enterprise support level customers for the time being. If you haven't already updated to this version for your 2022 product, it is advised that you update this and any 3rd party Flexera versions that you may be running to this release from Revenera or newer.

NOTE: If you do not update with the 2022 release, you may get a 0.0.0 error.

For detailed installation instructions see this link:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/network-license-administration/install-and-configure...

Just like the last couple of years and moving forward, the License Manager files are no longer available for direct download from Revenera. Per their existing policy, you must obtain the license manager from your software vendor. You can download the Autodesk Network License Manager files here for only the 64-bit version moving forward:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/network-license-administration/get-ready-network-lic...

You can update your license file to 2022 versions from your Autodesk Accounts page once your Subscription has been updated. Note: Just because the Autodesk product has been released, there is no guarantee that your Subscription has been updated yet.

Autodesk Product Keys for all versions can also be found here. With the latest changes to future installs, Product Keys will likely become antiquated. Product keys for 2022 should follow the same formula if required, with this release using the letter N.

Note: To update your license file, you will need to provide your serial number and ethernet ID of the new/current license server.

It's possible that the NLM is not included in the Autodesk 2022 software installation package anymore. So downloading it directly might be the only way, moving forward.

For best results, you should always run the latest lmgrd.exe and combine license managers if other vendors also use the license manager. The latest lmgrd.exe is backwards compatible with vendors supporting versions back to 9.2. It's also good to note that you should NOT mix and match 32-bit and 64-bit versions as LMTOOLS cannot see the services created on mixed architectures.

I will keep these threads updated for as long as the NLM is supported.

Thanks!

Thanks! That is what I figured as well. I had opened the .msi archive to search the files within the installer and came up empty on that same conclusion. Guess the only way to get it is to download it.

Not directly Autodesk related comment but here it is anyway.

Is there any place to get 11.8.0.0 x86 version of lmtools.exe, lmutil.exe and lmgrd.exe.

Yes and do not reply contact your vendor. Most of vendors are still using 11.6.5.X or 11.6.4.X 😉

I like to use same latest version for my x86 and x64 license services like always.

Seems to be harder every year to find the correct download link.

If you're already running the latest x64 version then you shouldn't need
the older x86 version. The NLM should never run both 32 and 64 on the same
server because the services cannot see each other in LMTOOLS.

Can you further explain your reasoning?
