Did licence for 3d studio max 2024 will work with 3d studio max 2025?

Hi,

From last month I was using 3D Studio max 2025 as a trial in my company. Now I receive a licence from my IT department, but the licence is for 3D Studio max 2024 and I can't activate it. There is a way to activate a 2025 version by using a key from 2024? Or they should buy another key for version 2025?

You can only buy subscription, which enables you to run the current version (2025) and three older versions. You don't need to activate - just sign into the software using your Autodesk account credentials. And make sure 3DS is assigned to your account. Autodesk Administrators | User Management | Assign Product Access
