      <title>Educational licence renewals not working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have Inventor and InventorCAM, both installed on the same day. Some time ago I got a message ( either email or on Inventor I cant remember which ) saying my educational licence would expire in 90 days so I need to renew it. So I renewed it, and it came up that my 12 month licence had renewed and I had 12 months to go. So straight away it ripped me off 3 months.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fast forward to a few days ago, and when I opened up Inventor it came up with an alert that &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Inventor CAM&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; would expire in 14 days. So I clicked the activate button, the screen changed to "congratulations on renewing, you have 12 months etc". I also received an email saying the same thing. The next day I opened Inventor, same warning about InventorCAM, so I did it again, and got the congratulations email again. Today I open it again, SAME WARNING!!!! Now down to 11 days. So I did it again, and got the congratulations email again, but I think tomorrow it will happen again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The same thing that is happening with InventorCAM, is happening FeatureCAM. FeatureCAM was installed some time after Inventor and InventorCAM. I have logged into my Autodesk account, and when I renewed Inventor, it asked me for which Educational institution I work for etc, and I did all that and it confirmed the renewal, and since then it says on my account page that I have access to Autodesk products until April 19, 2022.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It has not asked me which educational institution I work at when it tells me InventorCAM and FeatureCAM are expriring shortly, it only gives the "activate" button.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Clearly I am missing a trick somewhere, because my Autodesk Educational page says I have access until April 19, 2021, but when I open the products they say they are expiring in 10 days time. I really love Inventor and InventorCAM, ( FeatureCAM is terrible but I'm forced to use it ) but the licence renewal thing is very painful indeed. Surely all the products I have ( Inventor, InventorCAM, and FeatureCAM ) can be grouped together so they all expire on the same anniversary, and I can renew my account on that anniversary, rather than renewing each individual product on each products' anniversary?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyway, if anyone can point me in the right direction to get everything renewed again before they expire, I would be grateful.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I think that must also be Saturday 12 June 2021 as when I opened both InventorCAM and FeatureCAM this morning they both gave me the 10 days to expiry message.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I still don't understand why any / all of them expire in June / July this year, when my Autodesk account says I have access until April 19, 2022? I think that April 19 this year was when I renewed Inventor, when I had to find my educational institution on the list and confirm that etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/8831318"&gt;@andrew.metfordX3MZ7&lt;/a&gt;,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When did you first request these products?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From my own experience, I've had licenses that were on the old system and so did not sync up with my renewal date until I requested the products again after the license had expired.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can try to request the products again now:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, if it fails then let the licenses expire before requesting again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Download? Install? or something else? when I go to the page you linked to, and log in, then go to the InventorCAM, I can choose the version ( 2021, 2022 etc ) and either install or download.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Then I got an email saying "You’re all set! Inventor CAM - Ultimate is yours to install and use until your educational access expires on April 19, 2022."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I closed Inventor, and opened it up again and got the 9 days until it expires message.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did I request it correctly? or do I have to run the EXE file?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

To request a new license go to the student software page and start the download of the products you want. You can ignore/cancel the installer download since the license is added to your account at the sametime when you download the installer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There have been some changes I guess in 2020... Which now issue licenses of only 1 Year, and we have to Re-Submit our Documents to verify our student status...       <description>&lt;P&gt;No I wasn't able to get this sorted out. This year around, I was able to renew Inventor / InventorCAM, but not FeatureCAM. I clicked the link that FeatureCAM sent me to renew, it takes you to the page, I click renew, it comes up "comgratulations your access has been renewed for 12 months", but it doesn't renew it, as FeatureCAM still counts down the days until expiry, and it eventually expired. I didn't receive the email saying my access was extended either. Yet when I go to my page it says I have educational access until next year so there shouldn't be a problem, but there is.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the end, I uninstalled FeatureCAM from my computer, and got a fresh version, but instead of getting it under the single user ( I tried that, but it kept coming up as before - access expired ), I got it under the class / lab tab, so I got 125 licences. So I have it working for now, but is next year going to be the same drama?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Why can't all the products I use expire on the same date ( regardless of install date ), then I renew and it renews everything at once, rather than having to renew each product&amp;nbsp; 12 months form the date that particular product was installed, as in my case the products were not all installed on the same date, meaning I have to do several renewals throughout the year as each product reaches its' anniversary.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the exact same issue.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Inventors says that the subscription exeeded. When I go to the website and log in, it says that the Subscription was renewed until 2023.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But Inventor does not recognize the renewal but keeps telling me, that my subscription exeeded...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to logoff/ login in Inventor and to remove/add the license on the website for my account.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried fresh install of all Autodesk software components.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But nothing seems to work... Is there really no official solution to that?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the frustration. We are aware of the issues that some education customers&amp;nbsp; are having with renewals, and we have been working with our engineering teams to address these issues.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What you describe is the intended behavior: One renewal date for product subscriptions, which is tied to your educational access/eligibility date. It is our goal to work toward ensuring that all education customers are having a consistent experience with product access and&amp;nbsp;renewals.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the meantime, I'm glad you were able to sort out the issue with FeatureCAM.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Downloading products via the &lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Get Products&lt;/A&gt; page is always going to be your best bet—even if you already have the product installed—since clicking the &lt;STRONG&gt;Get product&lt;/STRONG&gt; button on the desired product card will trigger the education entitlement (subscription) for you.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

Per my previous reply in this thread, are you clicking &lt;STRONG&gt;Get product&lt;/STRONG&gt; for Inventor on the &lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Get Products&lt;/A&gt; page? That should trigger the renewal subscription for you.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the quick resonses&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/9457341"&gt;@gabe.anderson&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Inventor now seems to work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But I am not quite sure what solved the problem.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried the 'Get Product' multiple times, with different Browsers, on different days.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;In some other post I found a hint to clear the entire browser cache and to use the browsers incognito mode.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But also with that it did not work immediately.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe I was just impacient and had to wait some time before retrying...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe it would be worth a note in a FAQ, that one can try incognito mode and clear browser cache.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Even though it don't think this should be a required step!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for confirming that you got Inventor up and running!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It's hard to say for sure what resolved it, but we've also been running some backend fixes on accounts that were experiencing date-related renewal issues, so it could be that your account was fixed sometime during the time that you were trying various steps, too.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello everyone. I have the same exact problem with Civil 3D and revit. I renewed my student license 3 days before expiring, when i follow the restart access link and login into the autodesk website via my browser it says that my license is renewed until next year. Yet is doesn't seem to this syncronize this back to the individual autodesk applications. The autodesk desktop connector and autodesk desktop app do say the my license is renewed, but don't circle this back to the individual applications. I allready uninstalled and installed civil 3d, restarted everything etc.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a new solution to this problem, or is it possible to mannually turn the license on again for these applications?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope someone has the anwser.       <description>&lt;P&gt;It's really strange, for some applications like civil, revit, recap the license doens't seem to be updated. Yet for inventor it does. &lt;P&gt;Our support team has adjusted your&amp;nbsp;Civil 3D subscription so that it recognizes only the new subscription (your old subscription was getting picked up in the product).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;On the &lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Education Get Products&lt;/A&gt; page, you will also need to click &lt;STRONG&gt;Get product&lt;/STRONG&gt; -&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;ACCESS/INSTALL&lt;/STRONG&gt; on Fusion 360 and Revit to reactivate the subscriptions since they expired, but are in the 30-day grace period.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please also logout from the apps and back in.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
