      <title>AutoCAD 2023 installation error</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm receiving this error message if I try a local or deployment installation on our systems?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Dazzman_0-1648629283192.png" style="width: 600px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/1047945iD3F9F0B229966ACB/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="Dazzman_0-1648629283192.png" alt="Dazzman_0-1648629283192.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So far I've tried the installation on as fixed workstation and a laptop they are part of our standard system build and have the following installed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 10 21H2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Office 365&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sophos Intercept X&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;AutoCAD 2018 &amp;amp; 2020&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other than that there is nothing special about them, has or is anyone else encountering the same issue?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately removing Sophos is not an option and hasn't been an issue with any previous installations of any Autodesk product prior to this 2023 release.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have already download the 2 files which once run tried and then failed the installation, the error message in my pervious post came from that failed install.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The problem is I'm the IT admin for our organisation and look after 100+ systems with about 75% of those using an AutoCAD application and this is the first time in years that the boxed solution provided by Autodesk doesn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I always setup local and deployment installations on test machines when the new versions become available and in this instance both fail with the same error 4000 which states that it requires investigation by the Autodesk Technical Team.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Dazzman_0-1648649200906.png" style="width: 600px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/1048123iEE37665C509275F1/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="Dazzman_0-1648649200906.png" alt="Dazzman_0-1648649200906.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its not the first time that Autodesk haven't managed to get things right so I might have to sit back and see if anyone else manages to get the same problems?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Honestly .. if you are continuously getting the same error, I'd be looking at the IT side of it. Just my opinion. I help with 1000's of installs a year and see a lot of different things.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; It's not generally the software .. it's something blocking / limiting it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;They do millions of installs and the % that fail is low.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have 2023 Inventor / AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT installed .. they were all smooth installs. No hiccups&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So its a new day and I have a fresh MS SP7 with Windows 11 on it and nothing else, I add the system to our domain and then login with an Admin account, download the AutoCAD 2023 installation files run them so that they extract to the default location and then the installation starts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It gets to 5% then stops winds back to 0% and then I get the usual error below&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Dazzman_0-1648715908344.png" style="width: 600px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/1048506iB1D283AA20536D38/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="Dazzman_0-1648715908344.png" alt="Dazzman_0-1648715908344.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So that's a new system with only the OS and it still fails?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've done 5 installs / Inventor / AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT of these 3 - 15 installs.&amp;nbsp; No issues.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Something has to be on the PC's causing all of these issues for you.&amp;nbsp; Domain / Permissions / rights ... something&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Try it no being part of our network&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I concur that there must be something in your system that is causing the installation to fail. I also installed all the 2023s that came out so far: Acad, Inventor, Max, Navis, Maya, and P3D with no issues.&lt;BR /&gt;The most common causes of installation failure are:&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Start by clearing your temp folder, check disk space (at least 50GB free), antivirus (fully uninstall - not just disable), pending windows updates (install them all, reboot), or corrupt\missing licensing components.       <description>&lt;P&gt;The support team I spoke to in Singapore this morning mentioned that this has and would only have become an issue in the 2023 installations due to a programming change that they have made.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So it seems that the Admin accounts I have access to and had been using have had this option missing from them since they were setup several years ago and have been working fine with everything thing else I needed to install and configure up until now.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I find it curious that an "expert" doesn't see that the problem is with Autodesk's new installer.&amp;nbsp; Over a few months now, I have tried everything.&amp;nbsp; Before you go down a road of patronizing condescension, I am an admin on the machine, have checked security roles, cleared temp folder, rebooted, tried your two versions of the installer, etc.&amp;nbsp; Every single time, same thing.&amp;nbsp; Starts, reverts and throws error 4000.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't care what you think you know.&amp;nbsp; If Autodesk has made functional changes to their installer and it is "getting blocked" then it IS the installer and not the machine/OS.&amp;nbsp; Software companies like to play this game that it must be your machine.&amp;nbsp; It isn't.&amp;nbsp; To those that say you should uninstall your anti-virus or other security measures to install a piece of software, this should be a red flag.&amp;nbsp; If any company that you didn't know asked you to do this, you would throw the software in the trash.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need a fix to this.&amp;nbsp; I feel that the excuse train is going to keep rolling and just waiting for next year's release or hoping that someone fixes the issue in the installer isn't going to work.&amp;nbsp; I need a bona fide fix and real support.&amp;nbsp; No one seems to wan to provide that, just excuses and "it should work".&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
