Autodesk Account Product & Services download page vs Download Products page

Hi,

I'm currently seeing an issue when downloading 2016 products from Autodesk Account. Example i have used ins 3DS Max 2016.

In my example, i tried to install 3DS Max 2016, so i went to Products & Services, found 3DS Max 2016, selected more actions, chose Browser Download and then 2016 - WIN 64 - English and then selected Browser Download (Easy).

However, i unfortunately only get one *.exe downloading in Chrome and 3DS Max is comprised of 2 *.exe's

What i then tried was to go to Product Downloads at the bottom of Products & Services. Here i can see 3DS Max 2016 but when i select Browser Download, i get both *.exe's downloading.

Is this a bug with Autodesk Account and could this be resolved in the first page otherwise there is no point in having it there.

P.S - I did look at additional files under 3DS Max for 002 and it wasn't there, just the Sample file download. Also, i tried the same process for Inventor 2016 and the same applied... it would only download 1 *.exe 2GB in size when the package looks like it's 4.8GB.

Duncan,

Hello - I am a fan of your posts. The issue you are experiencing, I think, is a result of the browser you are using and its settings. If you click download and only one section downloads, it is likely being seen by the browser as a popup. The browser may or may not alert you to this at the top right of the address bar.

The quickest way past this is to pres the CTRL key before you click download. This will temporarily bypass your popup settings.

It looks like differnet parts of the webpage are viewed differently by the browser settings.

FYI, I've Just tested this on my home laptop and it works perfectly. Same browse as work, same version but this time i get 2 *.exe's downloading rather than 1.

P.S - I was just testing you really and keeping you on your toes 🙂 (Joke, honestly good call!)

Here are those settings...

In Google Chrome, go to "Settings", under "Privacy" select "Content Settings" and in here make sure under "Automatic Downloads" is set as Allow sites to download multiple files automatically.
